  where have I been???
Like WOW!!! Ive been missing from this blog for a freaking long time. Man, should shoot myself in the head. Still remember my ambitious mission when i first started writing for this blog.. "Yes... I would write and upload photos at least three or four times a week for the blog. I want to jot down as much as possible about my journey through life." (ayuni's true words, a year ago) Now? Lets just say that I actually forgot the password to my blog account when I tried to log in just now. Jeez... so much for all those shit about writing and updating regularly. Its just empty promises on my part.

anyways, since im actually here, lets just talk a bit about my life. updates, you mean? well.. im fucking done with those exams in NUS! cant believe that its finally over! wont be seeing that examination writing booklets (which come in strangely bright colours like yellow and orange) anymore! Yahoooooooooooooooo....... Feeling refreshed suddenly now although its already 245am

Guess you might ask me.. whats next on the agenda. My answer? "I am not fucking sure at all." im sick of living here. i wish to grow wings and fly to far,far away places. so hard to get that ultimate dream job. i hate to wait.

hate the feeling of being neither here nor there, just ambling about like some kind of an idiot. the problem with me is that, i cant sit still. i need to get myself preoccupied or i will feel so damn restless. so shit.

oh yeh... there is the smun where i have to start marking 64 position papers on maritime piracy and maritime terrorism and i need to know the language of moderating the UN session too. Plus need to plan for istanbul yay.. cant wait to go to turkey :)

and gawd.... i hate moving back home! not that i detest living with my parents (coz not!) I just realize that i have sooo many fucking stuffs and im actually fucking pissed with myself for having too many stuffs. I know.. it sounds fucking dumb. seriously.. was super irritated with myself for having too many clothes, too many shoes, too many bags and too many toiletries. it was a hell trying to shift stuffs back home. my room looks like a storeroom now with my stuffs lying all over the place and gawd.. my wardrobe looks like it is going to burst soon. can actually make a mt everest out of my clothes pile. this is fucking ridiculous. i swear. no more shopping trips for me. i hate shopping. screw shopping. shopping is sooo uncool now. hah.... but seriously i need to start saving up or else.. im screwed for life.

wow.. ive been rambling on and on. thought of watching heroes but kinda tired and sleepy. hell.. had an awful time moving out from pgp just now in the day. but we had a nice dinner at the airport for mother's day. kind of a nice ending actually. going to the airport makes me wanna board any of the planes there and just fucked off to the States or something. hahaaaa... the temptation was that high. me and sis had a good time checking out the white guys at terminal 2 while waiting for our table. fun activity :)

okay enough of my shit. ta-ta for now. need to get some sleep coz i need to wake up early tmr. going to drop by pgp to hand over my transponder once and for all. hmmmm.... pgp did have many memories for me. -cheeky smile-

First post after a long hibernation
GAWD! when was the last time I posted something? Feels like years ago.. I think I better start writing or else my girlies would complain :)

Life is sweet nowadays although the occasional stressful moments what with the numerous deadlines and stuffs. It seems that time flew so fast! It is already the last week of school before the reading period. Kind of sad actually since this is my last semester in NUS. Been here for the past freaking four years! Going to miss my PS friends (who cares if people call us elitist? Hah! I love you guys!) and of course, my lecturers too. Going to miss all those wonderful moments spend in the library, canteen etc. This semester is one of my sweetest one ever filled with many fond memories which I dont feel like discussing now because I am just too tired. I meet so many new people from a myriad of backgrounds. Just plain Lovely!

I was just thinking about some stuffs actually. I just find it really ironic that people who do not follow a particular religion may tend to know more about the religion as compared to people who believe in the religion. Shouldnt elaborate on it. Im just too tired now.

And one more thing. Why would people keep on breaking up and patching up practically 24/7? They cant be that indecisive right? Or maybe they are just plain immatured. For the love of God, just stop this melodrama and make up your mind! If you dont think that you guys are not meant to be together then dont. Simple. And stop making such a big din about it when everytime you guys break up. I dont see the point actually. Are you trying to tell the whole wide world that you are finally single (for the hundreth time!) and available? Gosh... some people never learn. Im sure there is more to life than just thinking about such petty issues.

You know what? Screw such people. True. They dont affect my life in any bit. But they do annoy me greatly. Just grow up!

Lets get back to my life which is much more interesting and exciting. Updates? Well.. ayuni is going to get the unemployment status soon. Hahaha.. and she is going to Istabul, Turkey in July for holiday and Model United Nations! And she is going to do stuffs which she always wanna do while waiting for employment. Like learning a third language, taking other activities classes and maybe charity work. Aint life a delight?

The cuzzins @el-sheikh...

Had a blast of a weekend in Arab st; Friday night shisha-ing at Almajlis whereas Sat night was spend at el-sheikh. And now? Ayuni needs to get back to her books. Deadlines are coming soon. Wait. Deadlines are actually scurrying over my shoulder. Im sooo dead. Three papers due in two weeks for which I do not have a single clue what are theygoing to be about. Im officially guilty of being such a pathetic procastinator.

Anyways, something absurd happened to me yesterday night. I decided to get back to PGP since its a Monday night and I was really hoping that I will be able to get some productive work done since I will be alone most of the time in my hostel room (less distractions). Nevertheless, my sincere desire was not able to be fulfilled because I could not get into my freaking room! The lock just died on me. I was standing there in front of my room like a fool, with my bags of books and toiletries frantically pressing the transponder. I was hoping for a miracle actually like suddenly the door of my room would just opened by itself (and of course, it did not happen). And guess what, my V3X just had to be running low batt. Such a fantastic situation to be in! So I did the next best thing-grab a cab to Jurong East Avenue 1 and called my dear sis to unlatch the door. Sheeeshhh....

But all's well now. Technician came to my room and fixed the lock. I think the Technician guy would be thinking that I am such a trouble-maker since I kept on having problems with my room. Well... just my luck right?

Allright.. got to go... need to take a nap now..

  Football@Clark Quay
As you can see, My dear Mr Idaly has a wide smile plastered on his face. No. Not because he got to spend his Saturday night with his much beloved girlfriend. More like due to the fact that his first love-Man U won the match! haha....

The scene in one of the pub. We went from one pub to another just to get the best seats.

Watching football at a pub isnt exactly my ultimate favourite activity, especially not on a Saturday night. But being the sweetheart that I am, I sacrificed my precious Saturday just to accompany My Dear Mr Idaly to watch football at Clark Quay. It was so-called the game of the year between Man U and Liverpool. Seriously, I dont care.
Surprisingly, the match was exciting even for me, the clueless spectator who couldnt even remember Gerrad full name or that he is playing for Liverpool. Or is he? Hmmmm.... big question.

  A day of two films

Yesterday was an arty-farty film day. I watched two art films which are very different from one another. The first one was a local one which is mandatory to watch as we need to do a review on it for our popular culture class. We borrowed the dvd from the library and squeezed ourselves into one of the glass cells to view it from Dhilla's laptop. Gosh, only one word to describe it-utter nonsensical. 'Eating air' lives up to its name because it is just plain horrible. It is like any typical Singaporean art film. Only that it is much more worse. The Singapore that it portrays is different from the multi-racial Singapore that the government always stress on. No wonder foreigners always have this perception that Singapore is a third China. The film is humorous but it has the cliche plot about gangsterism and teenage love among Singapore youth. I do not think there are much elements of art in the film. The director tries hard but well, he should try harder next time. Haha....
Urgh... Im sorry. I just hate the film. And to think I have to write a review on it. Bleargh........

After the horrifying experience of watching a pathetic local film, Darling and I decided to watch a movie at Vivo. Since its my turn to pay for the tixs, I had the valuable opportunity to choose what movie to watch. Being the foreign movie addict, I opted for a french movie titled 'Paris, Je'Taime' (Paris, I love you). OMG! It was worth the ten bucks! It was one of the best French film Ive ever watch! The film is actually a collection of short stories spunning tales of love among different people all in the lovely city of Paris. It is like the french version of 'Love Actually'-only nicer. The tales of love are unique-love between a pretty lady and her blind boyfriend, love between an old couple whose husband decided not to divorce his wife after finding out that his wife was terminally ill, love between a couple who finally met up when the guy was stabbed and the girl treated him and even love between a gay couple.

My favourite story is about an inter-racial love between a french guy and a muslim girl. It is a really sweet story since the french guy actually followed her to the mosque and waited outside the mosque for hours just to see her again. And it does help that the french guy is really cute with curly blonde hair. What attracts me the most about this story is that the guy does not mind that the girl is a muslim who wears the hijab. His friends even mocked him by saying that Osama would be furious at him if he dated the muslim girl. Certainy, the French Muslims are being starkly discriminated in the society. Nonetheless, the French guy still continues to court the Muslim girl.

In all, I really love this French film. Each story has a clever twist to the ending which makes it more appealing and creative. Besides that, there are many footages of the city of light. Very beautiful. So moral of story? 'Love transcends all boundaries.' How cheesy... but how true!

  A pathetic plea
Its 7am now. I cant sleep back. Seriously, I am having great difficulties in adjusting to the timing here. I spend the whole day and evening yesterday sleeping and I was wide awake at night. Feeling like a nocturnal creature nowadays. So what did I do? I resort to forcing my eyes shut at 2am and gosh, it took me a good while before I fell asleep. Urgh.. this is getting really ridiculous. It seems as if Ive been away for a couple of months not just two weeks. Yesterday I was feeling hungry but instead of going out to get some food, like what a normal person might do, I resort to staying in my hostel room and eating strawberry collon biscuits. Going out seems to take a lot of energy and has become quite a hassle for me. Gosh! What am I turning into? An anti-social nocturnal creature who takes every minor task to be like a huge chore? I must snap out of this pathetic situation. The only thing that I have been doing a lot nowadays is sitting in front of my laptop and doing goodness-knows-what. Well, to look on the brighter side, at least I am exercising my fingers. Great. How lame can I be?
Work keeps on piling and I keep on resisting. Its going to be the nightmare period soon. And I still do not have the sense of willingness to buck up and do work. So here is my plea. Does anyone have any anecdote to cure my weird illness?

  The HNMUN conference
Dhillah and I with Raphael. I kept forgetting his name actually. We became good friends after the conference and hang out together in NYC. Hes such a sweetheart. A real gentelman who paid for most of our stuffs and even walked us back home in NYC.

With an adorable cute kid from Yale Uni. He wasnt actually from our comm but we kept bumping into him at the lobby. We became friends after that. Witty guy.

This guy is from LA and hes a muslim. Weird. He dont behave like one at all. Haha...

Darn! It was supposed to be just the four of us with the guys from Holland. But no. That China girl just had to squeeze herself between me and Jesper. Damn her!

This curly-haired cutie is our Assistant Director for our Comm. Harvard Kid.

Gawd! Aint he such a cutie? He is from Yale Uni and representing the UK. Cant remember his name thou...

Smiley faces after the conference. We took a shot with the China people who were rather grateful to us for helping them out in amending their resolution. It turned out that their resolution did not passed. Clearly, Dhillah and I were annoyed since it had been just a waste of our time.

Voting for the resolution. 2/3 majority?

Trying to come up with a unified resolution. That was Kyle, our director at the podium.

In one of the session at the ballroom.

Dhillah and I were trying our best to help the China people editing their resolution. It was a tough task because they just wont listen.

There was a fire alarm at the hotel which turned out to be a false one. Everyone was forced to huddled together in the lobby. Some guys began to make a din which made everyone laugh.

During one of the unmoderated caucus. The guy in the middle was representing China. He was one of the stronger player in the SPECPOL comm and a pretty cute one too. Hehe..

YAy!!! SIngapore! We managed to push for our agenda.

Delegates from Singapore all-ready to kick some ass!

Us with the team from Spain. Pretty weird guys actually. They were representing Bhutan, a god-knows-where island. I had difficulties in understanding what were they saying, half of the time. However, the guy beside Dhillah is rather nice in a goofy sort of way. Hehe...

My breakfast at Au Bon Pain. This cafe had been our life saviour for the six days that we stayed in Boston. It served fresh delicious bagels, a wide variety of muffins and freshly brewed coffee.

Finally! We reached the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. It was hellish cold! Talk about walking around, embraced in the chilled wind at a temperature of -10 degree celcius.

  Journey to Boston
NEW YORK TIMES! Just need to take a shot of this!

View from the bus. We were on our way to Boston. The bus ride lasted for about six hours. Gosh....

Dhillah and I at JFK Airport.

Finally! JFK! We arrived at JFK only to realize that there was some filming going on. Camera crews were everywhere.

Bored.Bored.Bored. Dhillah and I had watched a few movies, shrieked at some random comedies and tv shows, learned new languages such as Turkish, Arab and Korean (which I seriously have forgotten now), played video games and even did some personality tests. Yet, we still have not reached JFK! We also asked the air stewardess for more food. Being the nice flight attendant, she gave us delicious desserts to munch.

View from high above. My first look at real glaciers

Frankfurt Airport. A very practical airport, stripped from all the frills. Very unlike Changi.

Inside the skytrain with Dhillah and Jus.

At the Frankfurt Airport. We arrived in Germany around 5am. Being the curious kittens, we decided to explore the place and stumbled upon the skytrain.
